About The Author

tamara headshotTamara Lelie graduated from UCLA in 1999 with degrees in English and French. She began her career in the corporate world, working for 5 years as a corporate trainer for NBC Universal's cable networks (USA Network, SCI FI, MSNBC, CNBC, Telemundo and Bravo). Subsequently, she was hired by French media company, TV5MONDE, as Marketing/Publicity Director and spent 6 years traveling across the U.S and to France. It was during this time that Tamara continued her research on the French culture which she had first begun in 1997, the year she attended the Sorbonne in Paris and was taught the secrets to the French peoples' unique knowledge of how to attain balance, a concept which she now incorporates into all of her writing, coaching and retreats. Tamara's personal quest for balance led her to enroll in a 200 hour training course to become a certified yoga instructor. A passionate desire to help others find balance soon followed. Currently, she is the resident Kundalini Yoga instructor at Spa Solage in Calistoga, which has been voted #1 Spa in the United States by Condé Nast Traveler and Travel & Leisure Magazine. Tamara is also a certified Love/Relationships Coach, and trained with celebrity sexologist Dr. Ava Cadell, PhD. Calling herself a “Yogi with a French Twist,” Tamara serves as a human toolkit and has created a system whereby anyone can learn the art of balance. Tamara also teaches these tools at specialized retreats and has taught them to and partnered with the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing; Boys and Girls Clubs of Marin and Southern Sonoma Counties; and Girls By Design, a teen focused website founded by television and film star Kristin Kreuk and producer Kendra Voth. In her coaching practice, she simplifies yogic principles and so far has helped over 280 clients (ranging from celebrities and professionals to housewives and teens) to become unblocked from fears, achieve balance and create the life of their dreams. Tamara is an avid writer and is currently working on a novel. She lives with her husband and daughter in Sonoma County.
